The Pyramid of Capitalist System is a provocative illustration of the hierarchical system of capitalist rule in America. In this beautifully colored portrait, the artist depicts the multiple tiers of working class oppression. At the top of the pyramid sits the state, which serves the interests of the ruling class and functions under capitalism as the protector of private wealth and property. Below the state stand the religious leaders, clergymen, and preachers of false consciousness who encourage obedience to and acceptance of the status quo, entreating the working masses to accept their ordained fate and seek their just rewards not on earth but in that glorious hereafter.
If obedience cannot be encouraged it will surely be enforced by the members of the next tier. As events in Homestead and Pullman clearly testified, the police and militia had as their objective not the protection of "the people," but rather the protection of capital from "the people." Beneath the military sit the parasite class, the bourgeoisie, who exploit the toilers of the world and profit by their labor power.
Beneath it all, bearing the weight of the entire system, are the workers who produce all things fundamental to the perpetuation of life and the continuation of this system. Thus, in addition to illustrating the multi-layered oppression and exploitation of workers, this image also begs the question, "what would happen to capitalism if the workers simply withdrew their support?"

And in contemporary times, the upper tiers are deliberately weakening the bottom tier, with the bottom tiers full consent. Then everybody wonders why the pyramid is collapsing.
This is what I find astonishing.

So, you don't think all the "terrorist", "communist", "Nazi", "Muslim" and "illegal alien" crap being tossed at Obama, to say nothing of the "N-word" stuff, comes up to the level of what has been directed at Palin???? Come to think of it, Caribou Barbie is responsible for promoting, instigating and encouraging much of the hateful crap that has been hurled at Obama.
As far as I'm concerned, that b&*#h deserves worse than she's getting. She's a walking, talking affront to honesty, decency, tolerance, intellectual curiosity, public service, patriotism, REAL family values..... you get the point.
As far as geniuses holding elected office, there are quite a few, even some I disagree with but rather than give them props I'll just mention some I like. In the White House there was Carter and Clinton and now we have Obama. Many others in other positions of elected office.
And what's up with that "fat woman" crap? Man, talk about inventing unflattering stereotypes to demonize the opposition! Bet you believe in those Cadillac-driving "welfare queens" St. Ronnie used to whine about too.

Did you miss my point? I did set the example. Then this boob comes along and is sold a s a role model for others. It was fine for my older kids because they were already on there own. The youngest was confused.

Sorry but I don't hate her and I simply do not understand all the people who say she is good looking., my 74 year old bride is better looking than she is. Street smart I will grant her, but genuine intelligence I will not. She lied when she claimed to have given back the money for the Bridge to Nowhere and insted built a Road to Nowhere with it. As has been noted by others she is not above rabble rousing either.
As to going after a male politico I guess you have never watched CNN's Situation Room with Blitzer and Jack whatsiname go after Obama.

She would be chewed up and spit out in a NY minute in my hometown.
Guess that's why she avoids cities.

Smart can sometimes be dumb we're all guilty of that. LIES abound in Washington from all sides...I guess we all see what we are looking for. I just find condeming a person who's clearly out of the game is counter productive to any issues of this day and God knows...we have many. Your right I do not watch the talking heads as a rule and prefer to read. Looks like I rattled some cages out there. Say a prayer for our troops.

Palin is far from out of the game. She may not be a declared candidate for any particular office but she's definitely inserting herself into domestic politics in a big way with her speaking engagements, TV appearances and her book. She is determined to keep herself as close to center stage as possible.
