What does worry me is the possibility that her inflammatory rhetoric deepens the divide between Americans and might prompt some of her less stable supporters to acts of violence. There was the guy in Pittsburgh who killed three cops because right wing talkers had convinced him Obama was going to take his guns away.

There was also the guy in Tennessee who shot up a Unitarian church because it was as close as he felt he could come to killing all the liberals and gays on Bernard Goldberg's list of "100 People Who Are Screwing Up America".

There was the right winger in Maine who was building a dirty bomb but whose wife shot and killed him before he could do any harm.

There was the right winger who went on a murderous rampage at the DC Holocaust Museum.

And of course, there was Tim McVeigh who blew up the Federal office building in Oklahoma City so as to provoke an overreaction from the government, thus causing a right wing revolt a la "The Turner Diaries".

I could go on but I won't because I'm sure you get the idea.

So anyway, back to Palin. On balance I wish she'd disappear. Her negatives for the Republicans aren't worth her negatives for the country.

I know a guy who went out and spent $1,400 buying ammo. Then he took the entire week of the election off because, "That mother fuckers gonna win. And I WILL be protecting MY family when he starts his n****r revolution. I'll be damned if they're making slaves out of my family!" Of course Obama won, and of course the "n****r revolution" never happened, because the entire notion was absurd. Jackass wasted a week of vacation holed up in his house, pissing himself over nothing. This same guy has informed me that "I pray every day that Palin runs and wins, 'cuz white America can't take anymore of this." He's also the guy who threatened my life when I told him I thought Gov. Kaine was a "fairly decent guy".

Sorry, but when I examine my mental image of the typical Palin supporter;-----This is what I see.

Maybe not typical but certainly numerous. Remember the campaign rallies Palin used to have with audience members shouting "traitor", "terrorist", "Muslim" and "kill him!"? I think these people are perfectly capable of using extreme violence against their fellow citizens for purely political reasons and with people like Palin pandering to their violent and hateful tendencies that violence is all but inevitable.

I hear this all the time and it is just bullshit. No Dem is worried about her they are insulted by her an fascinated by her "Jerry Springer" appeal.

I don't even think she could be elected Governor again.
The only national office she might win would be a congressional district that is very backward.
