Guns are a tool and that would be like being "anti-shovel." But -- even for a mere shovel -- there are folks you are supposed to phone before you dig in your own yard to keep from hitting stuff.

Metaphorically, that's all I am asking for regarding gun control: prove to me you're not a dumbass before I hand you a tool specifically designed to kill people.
