So, you're saying that the government is powerless to address the #1 cause of death of America's children? If the GOP believes that is so, their politicians should should resign en masse considering that the #1 job of government is to protect its citizens, something they steadfastly refuse to do. The GOP's proposed solution to this problem, "thoughts and prayers" doesn't appear to be working.

BTW, the root cause of the problem is the number and availability of guns in the US.
