The narcissistic arrogance of his thinking he can just tell all to Bob Woodward, and it will work out well for him, is stunning. Trump after all this time retains the power to surprise.
What a bind being on his staff. If you tell him stuff he doesn't want to hear, you're fired. But if something goes wrong, you're fired for not warning him. Sounds rough, but the guys that last have to know tricks to distract and pacify.
