But there's no discussion of the 2nd Amendment. The Notes cover the Constitutional Convention, which did not produce the Bill of Rights.

Of course not, but there is discussion of militias and their need to be well regulated and why. A John has noted the idea of a standing army was anathema but that some form of defense was needed.
