Yes, they are. They are going after everyone, except those who have need of nothing and far more than they could ever possibly need. The situation gets more insane by the day. They get elected by the same working class they fuck to death, who then vote for them some more only to have their lives get worse yet and still haven't figured out who's doing it.

The mechanism behind it?

They've made US* feel guilty for what WE have done to the wealthy and the corporations. We have "victimized" the "job creaters" by expecting them to create jobs people can actually live off of. We are to feel guilty, as if we commit a crime in expecting our labor to be justly rewarded.

Yes, folks, the millionaires and billionaires are the victims of the poor. We have abused and exploited them, the poor dears. (This is what we are expected to believe.)
