You two are priceless. Your party and your president RAN on drawing down forces in Iraq, and speeding up the timetable for the Iraqi Army to take over, based on a timetable that was crafted not based on the security situation in Iraq but based on political considerations. Well, here's the result. You've got contractors doing soldiers work because having military personnel over there would make a liar out of the CIC: he needs to be able to advertise that he "brought the troops home". And the contractors got ditched by an Iraqi Army that was either unable, unwilling, or both, to stay at their posts.
