Who is the United States creditor?
It is not China.

American can never really go bankrupt. We print the world's currency.
Now purposely trying to destroy our currency's status as the medium of exchange world wide is of course a different story. If you really believe the debt crisis myth you would not be in favor of a credit/currency downgrade.
