It isn't nearly as simple as you are interpreting it to be, SC. The wife and I were just discussing this and she observed that Zimmerman could have easily defused this whole situation by simply answering the kids question, "Why are you following me?", when asked. Instead of telling Trayvon Martin that he was a 'Neighborhood Watch' volunteer and asking the kid if he lived there, like any reasonable person would, he didn't answer and he continued following him.

The kid then chose to head where George couldn't follow in his vehicle (retreating from confrontation, IMO) and George exited his vehicle against the LEO's expressed opinion.

Try putting yourself into the 17 year olds shoes, he thought that Zimmerman was stalking him and more than likely thought he was standing his own ground but we will never know that for sure because George put a 9mm hollowpoint through his heart.

May I ask, what specifically are you sickened by in this thread?
