They don't but you won't hear that on the corporate media, even from the supposedly "liberal" commentators. The entire discussion in the media is on Republican terms. It's all about Obama, whether he's being "arrogant" by starting from the position he ran on during the election, whether he's "serious" about finding a solution because he's on the road "campaigning" instead of sitting down with Boehner and McConnell to negotiate.
