There will be NO agreements on anything, gun violence included, until BOTH sides knock off the BS "us VS them" schoolyard mentality, recognize that a problem truly DOES exist with the current lack of respect between the two major political parties, and begin to actually focus on (in this case) why people keep getting shot dead en masse, rather than focusing on who can come up with the best insult for the other side

So what do you say about the cyclist who lost her job for flipping at Trump's motorcade? This was her reasoning.

Juli Briskman, a Democrat, lost her job after a photographer took a picture of her raising her middle finger to Trump's presidential motorcade while riding her bike in 2017.

"I was frustrated," Briskman told ABC News Wednesday. "(Trump) had called folks down in Charlottesville good people on both sides. He had stripped funding away from Obamacare advertising. Puerto Rico was being blamed for their own demise at a hurricane... What we had feared most was actually happening and I just wanted to tell (the president) what I was thinking."

Amazing that she referred to him as President which I would not have.

Where would the hugely costly bureaucracy, support structure and enforcement of these new regulations be located?

Republicans will never agree to Federal control, and unless it's enforced at the Federal level it won't be enforced in states that hold gun rights to be sacrosanct and we'll have the same situation as we have now where mass shootings in California, New York, etc. will be done by perps that acquire their assault rifles & ammo in states with little or no enforcement of regulations.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear (D) said two of his close friends were killed in the shooting and another was injured.

“I have a very close friend that didn’t make it today. And I have another close friend who didn’t, either,” he told reporters, choking up. “And one who’s at the hospital, that I hope is going to make it through.”

Beshear thanked first responders for acting quickly and credited them with saving lives. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; and the FBI are assisting with the investigation.

Beshear said he is a client of the bank where the shooting happened and used it as a base for his 2015 campaign for state attorney general.

“We’ve got to wrap our arms around these families,” Beshear said. “And everybody who needs it, don’t be afraid to get some help. Our bodies and our minds are not meant to go through these types of tragedies.”

Wonder what McConnel will say about this shooting.
