The net effect of Birx and others not making this information public gave the Trump administration cover for their utterly botched response to the coronavirus.

I just don't see a military backed strongman taking over the US government in the near future. Too much money in private hands and I can envision private industries crippling the government. Think global economy and expect very may countries will come in to help. But it would bankrupt the country since most of the wealth will flee.

There is a global rise in Authoritarianism right now. Given the increase in the information now being gathered on everyone willingly and covertly by not only governments also by private companies.
I can see the two converging in the effort to keep control, power and wealth. Given the upcoming issues with climate and over population loss of jobs due to tech. Look no further then the on going border crisis and then think X100!
