Yes, there has been a precedent, probably even an SOP. But considering that she already had Presidential ambitions, she should have been very careful to dot the i's and cross the t's. I mainly blame it on her poor selection of support staff and advisers. She probably only attracts people that are telling her what she wants to hear.

Bush/Cheney used private servers in, I believe, Kentucky. All the raw voting results for the 2004 presidential election to this same company "for tabulation" before the results were announced.

What is the functional difference between what what Rice and Powell did and what Clinton did?

I'm not saying whether any of these three are or are not guilty of crimes or malfeasance. I'm only pointing out the double standard applied to Hillary versus any Republican or, for that matter, any Democrat and any Republican. David Vitter and Eliot Spitzer come immediately to mind as do Larry Craig and Anthony Weiner.

As for my hopes, they are that Hillary drops out before the Convention.
