WHAT!!

Dave, Obama broke the law in doing what he did. Is that not controversial?

He negotiated with terrorist to relice 5 top terrorist. Is that not controversial?
Terrorist detainees, set to be released later. Have you forgotten that we are slowly shutting that place down? What do you think your government has been doing with former inmates? Releasing them. That's what.

They would have sent soldiers to get him anyways, even if it was just to arrest him. As I understand it, now, there has been some internal (Army) argument going on about that for the last five years.

I'm guessing these factors were a part of the presidents decision.

It still hasn't played out yet. We still don't know why the military has as yet to charge him with anything even though he (allegedly) deserted five years ago. I'm thinking they will, but only in response to public pressure.

Why?

As to the illegality of the presidents actions, yes, he is being accused from all sides and rightfully so.

There is something strange about all of this. I don't think it's as simple as "Obama is a dumbass.".

I'm curious why he wasn't listed as a POW. I know he walked off, but he still was with the enemy. It's as if they already declared him a traitor.

In the bolded is your clue. You're only a POW if you're captured on the field of battle. If you're some moron who just walked off because you no longer care about the war................

Here's what we don't know yet;

Did he give any information of any value to the enemy?

That's the difference between treason and desertion.

I thought all you needed for treason was to "adhere" to the enemy.

Anyone else think that if you wrapped a bandana around his dad's head he would look like the keynote speaker at the RLC shindig?

I thought we were fighting a war against terrorists...? This government makes war as complicated as the tax code.

Did he give any information of any value to the enemy? Did he create harm to the country and it's people.

That's the difference between treason and desertion.
