That is my kid's favorite movie. We actually went to Preston Idaho and we have a picture of ourselves in front of Napolean's house.

As for "Deport Pedro" I love, love, love things like that. It's a perfect example. Hispanic Americans see Republicans wearing that and get the impression that they don't just want "illegals" out of the country, they want anyone with an Hispanic name out of the country. T shirts and bumper stickers with messages like that are great for the Democratic party.

John, I'm curious.

Lets say Canada bordered California for conversation sake. If you had illegal French Canadians pouring in to your state and I replaced the name Pedro with Pierre in my comment, would you still be offended?

Smart move. It works!

Always has, and socialism has always failed. If a dumb hayseed from Kansas knows that, why wouldn't the President?

This is a pointless conversation. You said what you said and I took it the way I took it.

No, it hasn't. Most of the countries of Northern Europe are social democracies (which I suspect you would identify as "socialist"). These are all very successful countries. Several of them have a higher standard of living than we do.

I guess that depends what you base your standard of living on. Freedom is pretty much on the top of my list. I lived without it for awhile and didn't like it much. Just out of curiousity, where is it that you want to live?
