No, sounds pretty funny though. I had to look it up.

Gramps was a colorful character for sure. I've got some of his Michigan copper. He moved to southern California in the '30s and moved to Grass Valley in '57 because LA was getting too crazy for him. He had a gold claim at Malakoff diggings that was converted to a state park in the '70s. They almost had to run him off at gunpoint. He was old school stubborn, fer sure.
He lived until he was 95. So if you all are waiting for me to die off, it might take a while...

The only real agreement I see between the radical left and the neocons are their belief in government power as a good thing. But of course the regular left believes it too.
What does Jewish have to do with ANYTHING?

Government power IS a good thing, reasonably constrained.
Now, define what is "reasonable".

In the bolded; How do you require backround checks at all gun shows without expanding backround checks?
No, it's not enough for SOME of the "loons on the left". But, what does that really have to do with anything? If you can stop them at this level, you can stop them at another level that you just said you would support...................
So, why don't you? What, are you waiting for a "loon on the right" to propose it, then it will, somehow, magically become okay?

Seeing how gun show’s takes place within the boundaries within state I don’t know if Congress has no legitimate constitutional basis to control gun shows.
But if it could, I would ban private to private sales (P2P) sales at a gun shows (only). I would not infringe on the private sellers right to bring and sell a gun at a gun show to a federal firearms license (FFL) dealer or have their private collection sold for them.
As it is now, 90% of all guns are sold through federal firearms license FFL dealers at gun shows. Restricting P2P sales would allow for instant background checks for all sales at a gun show without expanding them.
But then again the gun shows are not the real issue, the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NISC) is. Expanding the background checks without fixing it is simply stupid.

The radical loons are even louder
I disagree with banning P2P guns sales at gun shows. If background checks are the holy grail (until the next shooting afterwards anyway) then provide a method to allow private citizens to run a check.

That could work I guess. But that pandora’s box would have far reaching effects beyond gun shows.
IMO, I think if they did ban P2P sales at gun shows I'm sure some FFl holder's would facilitate the transaction for a nominal fee. They already do it for shipping out of state P2P auction sales and I could see someone opening a booth just for this type of transaction.
But I must admit I don’t buy guns at gun shows so I maybe way off base. I buy from word of mouth, estate sales or woman going through a divorce
