What's the nature of that experience and how many white
Republicans live in our inner cities these days?

Your "sample" is skewed.

I'm aware of that :wryly: However I've met more whites on it than blacks, that I know of.

As far as I know there's I think 2 republicans in Cleveland city limits nowadays

As our Teabagger and Randian friends have demonstrated, the "47%" gaffe won't matter at all with the base but more has come out from that findraiser. Romney's take on the Palestinian crisis will really hurt him with the Independents and maybe some undecideds (if they bother to learn about it).

Conservative columnist David Brooks, writing for the New York times, can't even stomach Romney's BS.

I wonder if he's counting military retirees in that 47%?

From that article,

Quote:
MITT Romney has warned that Iran would try and infiltrate an independent Palestinian state in order to threaten Israel via Syria and Jordan, in remarks laden with basic errors about borders and strategic alliances in the Middle East.

In a leaked video, the Republican candidate also said that as president he would treat the Middle East as an “unsolved problem” and make little effort towards a solution.

“We kick the ball down the field and hope that ultimately, somehow, something will happen and resolve it," he said.

He failed to show any appreciation of the different Palestinian camps, accusing them all of seeking to destroy Israel.

"I look at the Palestinians not wanting to see peace anyway, for political purposes, committed to the destruction and elimination of Israel, and these thorny issues, and I say there's just no way," he said.

What a sweetheart.

This is being very well played. The part of the video where Romney talks about the "47%" comes out and Romney has to go off message to respond. Then the part about Palestine comes out, even more devastating IMO, and now Romney will have to respond to that.

I can't help thinking there's more to come. If so, it'll probably come to light after Romney has tried to address the Palestine remarks and is about to get back to campaigning. I can't wait!
