With this overhaul is not the industry held to 20% profit's. But through the increase in volume in customers due to the mandate would more then make it back.

It is going to be funny to see how the GOP will make a "window dressing" change to the ACA and call a victory. Leaving the basic bill alone. Be funny if they push for single payer!

Plus in years to come the GOP might regret ever using the term "Obamacare". This due to when it is popular in years to come it will remind everyone who was behind it!

I get one piece of paper from BCBS Care First. It says the hospital billed $250, Medicare said no, not worth more than $100 and paid $80. We paid the other $20 and you owe $0.

Expensive insurance but it sure pays off.

So we stick with the old system, here is some interesting facts;

Leg started hurting like hell Friday night, made a doctors appointment for Monday.

He checks me out, makes a list of tests he wanted done sends me to Emergency.
, that is a twenty minute drive.

Get one test done then come home as it would have been 9:00 PM before it could be done.

Drive back next morning, another four hours shot.

Next day take a thirty minute drive to the other end of the county get lungs x-rayed.

Next day same thirty minute drive for MRI.

Take twenty minute drive for more ultrasounds.

Make appointment with osteo doc, says bring MRI results.

Call MRI ask mail them, no can do so the next day a thirty minute drive.

Finally see osteo doc says torn meniscus will heal.

Now tell me how someone without a car or money for taxis could have managed all that given our lousy public transportation. Likely they would have to setup light housekeeping in the Emergency Ward.

This is the world's best, I don't think so.

I've been through the med-o-rama too, though it wasn't as bad as yours.

But what in this bill changes that?

Nothing so far, but at least it is a start toward a national plan, better than sitting around with teir thumb up their arse. As Churchill said we will eventually get it right.

With a 22 year old and a 24 year old, I appreciate that provision - even if they aren't quite sure how fortunate they are. There aren't to many health plans designed for fledgling professional musicians.

Don't colleges have health plans for their students? I seem to recall an option way back in the olden days.

At KU, you pay a health fee, but the health care facility has very limited capabilities.
