Bear in mind that she's reading this, invited by Congress and no doubt read by members of Congress before she made her statement, in a Congressional Hearing. A congressional hearing staged by Dems. She and by extension the Dems are taking to task a private religious institution for its religious beliefs.
Where is the outrage from our left-leaning friends who are so strident in their defense of civil liberties? These are members of Congress acting in their official capacity challenging the religious beliefs of a private religious university.

It was good of you to provide the link so that it was easy to see how badly you distorted the words of the young woman. She is taking to task an institution, providing a service in the secular market, which has chosen to interfere with the benefits provided by her self-funded insurance plan. The opposition to contraception was so strident that it overlapped into interference with non-contraceptive medical treatment.
Why is the request for an exemption from an otherwise universal requirement for health care plans, when the exemption is based on the religious nature of the institution, not a First Amendment violation in itself?
