Marc's idea that the local militia people are unsympathetic doesn't really mean anything. There are plenty of people in other parts of the country who are entirely supportive of the Bundy Bunch. Killing these idiots or allowing them to starve to death would make them into instant martyrs. That we definitely don't need.
Starving them out is the way to do this. Set up a perimeter around the area they occupy and prevent them from leaving. Then set up an outer perimeter to prevent other people and supplies from coming in. Shut off their gas, electricity and, if possible, their water. It won't be long before they come out.
True, they may try a "Butch and Sundance" and come out shooting but that's on them and will be seen as such. Really, I don't see that as being very likely. You'd need tho have 150 people's unanimous consent to basically commit suicide. I doubt they all would agree. I doubt even more than a handful would.
The other thing is for the government to refuse to agree to any demands beyond the personal safety of anyone voluntarily surrendering. No accession to any of their demands, nothing that can be spun as a victory.
It'll be interesting to hear what DJ has to say when he gets back from Oregon.

Deliberate? Yes. Over the top? No. I never said they should be murdered by sniper, I said it would be a good time for them to die. If it comes to an armed standoff, and shots are fired, I think they should be the first ones taken out. Their words alone are incitement enough.

The people they are supposedly fighting for are against it. To me that makes this just wonton terrorism.
