No offense Pat but the gaping hole left for Obama to fill was magnitudes worse than what Old Man Bush faced and Obie won twice by some pretty historic numbers.
He's more moderate Republican than anything else, imo. That's his real problem and well, the wack right 'baggers in the House and Senate.

I like Obama as a person and generally agree with his policies, at least when compared to those of today's GOP, particularly the Tea Party wing (to the extent they have any policies). He just lacks the experience and executive/leadership skills to get the job done. Not everyone is cut out to be a good executive. In fact, few are. The gutlessness/fecklessness of the Congressional Democrats didn't exactly help his cause either.
