I've been to every one of the 50 states and lived in Texas and have spent quite a bit of time in East Texas and Northwest Louisiana (the better part of three years). FWIW, I've never lived north of the Mason/Dixon line (Maryland, Virginia, Louisiana and Texas). I very much like the American South and Southwest and like a lot about the culture in those places. However, I admit to not having a warm spot for 'Baggers, probably because my mother-in-law is one.
