Really? The IRS's own estimates that there are around 4.5 million sub - S corps out there. That seems pretty significant to me. And since this is really about the tax impact on sub -S corps, this number would not take into account LLC's that opt to pay taxes under sub - S rules. That jacks the number up even higher. Again, seems pretty significant to me.
