I'll bet it coulda been the cleanest spending bill ever, and they'd have trashed it just to throw some final dirt on Biden on his way out the door. That way they can forever mock him with "The last shutdown was on HIS watch"

as if there won't be more of this nonsense to come in the future......

Incidentally, this rejection of the CR has established that Musk is indeed Trump's co-president, perhaps even more.
