Perhaps it is a good thing that the new First Lady wants to work on eliminating bullying.

She means she plans to leave Trump.

Here we go with the "Blame Trump for everything" syndrome.

If anything bad happens, blame Trump.

Anything good happens, like saving 1,000 Carrier jobs, say it's bad and blame Trump.

I swear ti Christ, Trump could find a cure for cancer and the Latte Sipping "Liberal" elitists would say is was a bad thing blame him.

It's my sense of fair play at work.

I always defend the underdog. ;)

Sure.

The underdog who got to be president-elect through racist demagogery, but not the underdogs getting shit at school....

I was bullied in school from the third to the sixth grade because I was the "Fat kid". By the end of the sixth grade I weighed 160 lbs at 5 feet 5 inches. By today's standards that's not all that fat but in 1959 I stood out. And there isn't a Helluva lot that the adults, parents and teachers, can do. Kids that age live in an entirely different world than the adults. In the end, the only person that can help you is yourself.

So when the summer after 6th grade came around I decided "Fuck this shit".

In the fall I would be starting a new school (Junior High) and I decided to reinvent myself. I found this home made boat anchor near my house. It looked like someone had filled a bucket with concrete and then bent a piece of rebar into a U shape and stuck in in there for a handle. It weighed about 15 lbs. I started working out with that, just doing exercises I made up. Looking back on it, what I had was a home made kettlebell. I also did calisthenics and had my mother drive down the road until the odometer read a half mile and I made a note of a telephone pole at that point. I started running down and back to make it a mile. Did that 3-4 times a week. And I went on a crash diet.

By the time 7th grade started I had grown an inch to five foot six and dropped my weight down to a mean and lean 130 lbs.

I still got some shit occasional because our Junior High School had a lot of those Fonzi who, unlike they were portrayed on "Happy Days" were, for the most part dirtbags that would start a fight at the drop of a hat and drop the hat themselves, but overall I didn't get any more shit than anyone else.

The moral of the story: Bullies are always looking for a soft target. So if if you don't want to be bullied, make yourself into a hard target.

I did it more simply than that, having a left arm that I can't raise above my shoulders I came to the conclusion that the Marquis of Queensbury was a f'ing idiot so I fought dirty. Hey if someone picks on you it is not because they love you, so whatever it takes to make them quit. They all soon got the message, sure you might beat Bob up, but he is going to put some major hurt on you during the dance, he might even break summat.

1. Nice fish.

2. Who was mad enough to put the three dents in the picture between your eyes? Maybe a sibling?

3. Wish I had that telephone booth.

A very wise Dude that I encountered on another forum once said "The biggest impediment to winning a fight is the mistaken notion that one has to fight fair.:D

Again, photo is 57 years old. I doubt the Telephone booth is still there, but if you are ever down at the Clearwater Beach Marina in Florida you could check.;)
