Also did a search for clips from other Crossroads Guitar festivals. Now if the sound quality on Youtube were just better - or if my music budget were big enough to buy the CDs/Vinyl from these folks (Robert Randolph has a two disk set out on vinyl). But alas, gotta get another root canal.

I think I'll be seeing Clark at the end of the month at Milwaukee's Summerfest when we help our daughter move to Minneapolis. Did you see him on the White House blues night on PBS last month (with Jagger, BB King, Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck ...) He stole the show, though Jagger was in great form.

Fun times! 'Nam not withstanding, remember those concerts in the park that the National Park service used to fund? Sageworth and Drums was one of the local bands that was really good.

It was never really in my plans to move back to this area after I moved to New Orleans in '75 and then to Germany. But things worked out that way. The rural parts of Montgomery County are still very nice, but it's pretty crowded down county.

Gary Clark Jr. might even be better acoustic. He has a voice built for soul.

But then again, he can really rock! Great googly moogly. And rock some more.

All that reverb makes it very hard to listen to.

He's a good artist, but I don't find the Black Keys very special either.

Don, with your love of baseball and the midwest you should be listening to Centro-Matic!

I didn't even know the man was dead. I saw him live back in the 70s. Good performer.
