They've got everything going for them.
2008 was a huge year for the Democrats in the Senate.
They rode the wave of record breaking turnout with the election of Obama and ran the table in the Senate. Every close race went their way and they ended up with 60 Senate seats. Now it's six years later and those same close race seats are up again, but this time it's mid-terms, and Democratic voters are notorious for staying home during mid-terms.
On the other hand you have to give the Devils their due, the knuckle dragging mouth breathing Tea Baggers who believe the earth is only 6,000 years old and that all Democrats are commies hell bent on turning America into a Stalinistic Police State, they will show up at the polls.
So if the Dems can hold on to the Senate, even if it's with just 50 votes plus Biden that will be a huge victory for them and a devastating loss for the Republithugs.
