Once again, so what? Anyone with half a brain understands that the ACA changed the insurance game for the better, except for the Fox News junkies.

Here's some reading for those interested in this issue of policies being cancelled.

More here.

"Some people will find the new rules make insurance more expensive. That’s in part because their health insurance was made cheap by turning away sick people. The new rules also won’t allow for as much discrimination based on age or gender. The flip side of that, of course, is that many will suddenly find their health insurance is much cheaper, or they will find that, for the first time, they’re not turned away when they try to buy health insurance.
That's why the law is expected to insure almost 25 million people in the first decade: It makes health insurance affordable and accessible to millions who couldn't get it before. To judge it from a baseline that leaves them out -- a baseline that asks only what the wealthy and healthy will pay and ignores the benefits to the poor, the sick, the old, and women -- well, that is a bit shocking." Ezra Klein WaPo

...and the folks who liked and preferred the policies that they're losing, and will have difficulty paying for the "replacement" policies.

Mr Klein demonstrates his ability to play fast and loose with the facts, which is not shocking.

Posting from blogs again, written by Obama fan-boys and fan-gals in the press. However, from this blog:

"What does this have to do with Obamacare?

Pretty much everything: Since the health-care law required insurance companies to change their plans, this is a direct result of the Affordable Care Act."

So much for "If you like your current plan, you can keep it."

And by the way, my posts are in response to the question about how Obamacare if different than Romneycare. In that context, I'm not debating the "why" of it. I'm simply pointing out the differences. HUGE differences.

Since when do Republicans give a sh!t about the little people who bought catastrophic policies that guarantee bankruptcy if they actually needed hospitalization? As to the second part of your statement? Have you heard that there are subsidies for citizens who make up to 400% of the poverty level?

Wow, Mike. Weren't you the one making snide remarks about attacking the messenger instead of the message, just recently?

As long as your insurance company offers it, yes you can keep it. You guys are making a great argument for taking heath care administration out of the insurance moguls hands altogether. Thanks, I agree with that premise. There shouldn't be a profit motive anywhere near healthcare administration.
See, we agree on some things.

How about the "sticker shock" experienced prior to the ACA?
