Get a clue.
Obama was elected as an adverse reaction to Dubya. The GOP won in 2010 in reaction to overreaching by Dems. It seems most elections in recent years are reactions to overreaching/incompetence by the last folks we elected.

We'll see next year whether Obama's squishiness or the GOP's intransigence reigns supreme.

Since when is presenting unvarnished facts (e.g., poll results) considered spin, BTW?

I don't recall hearing much debate. I lot of spinning, demonizing, embellishing and lunatic ravings about things that really don't matter. But, as meaningfull debate goes, not so much.

QFT. Hannity's shrieking is what passes for reasoned debate on the Far Right.

All you do is show polls that have nothing to do with what's going to happen a year out. I used the word spin instead of calling it what it really is...You are a post whore.
As far as the election goes, We sure will see.
"squishiness"...You just never quit. If you wish to post stuff directly at me, get a clue and act as if you are in touch with the real world.

Dude, I think you're living on planet DJ. Obviously, tea partiers are thrilled that they forced some frantic negotiating and avoided their lords and masters having to lose any tax breaks. The tax revenue can take care of itself by the end of '12 because the Bush tax cuts will expire. If the super committee surprises us and rises above partisanship, they might even find some actual waste, redundancies and inefficiencies that will result in real savings.

You talk about spin, but you don't point to any objective measurement to support your assertion that recent events have changed the course of the 2012 elections. The current polls tell the public's reaction to the recent events, and the public is not happy with anyone in Washington, tea party included.

Regards,

D-Ray

I'm enjoying this. And in history, people will remember Obama RE: credit downgrade, not the Tea Party

I wish I could have voted 0%. But I had to choose 40% for two reasons.

1.) People tend to fight for change, not to keep things the same. This give a leg up to the Tea Party crazies.

2.)The 2004 election, the one when we actually elected George Bush, really caught me by surprise and showed me how collectively stupid we can be. --all bets are off from that point forward. (I see it as a failure of the public school system to have bred a generations of frightened/ignorant/misinformed/impressionable people)
