A Repugnant is more fitting, but of course one has to be a Republican to get to that exalted level.

I just ran across the last few posts to this thread. So...related to the question asked by this Concept-V person...

Would it be negative for me to say that Islam is no different from any other the other major religions? In the history of civilization, major organized religion has been responsible for more fear, hate, mayhem, murder, and violence toward women and children than political ideology or anything else.

So I guess that makes me a religiophobic heretic. I keep thinking of how much better a world this would be if we were all Unitarian Universalist!

Robby Starbuck, the wingnut rabble rouser that targeted Tractor supply and John Deere for being "woke" with DEI policies and extorted them to surrender their ethical employee business standards is now targeting Harley Davidson. The "Bikers for Trump" bullys are surely contemplating switching up to something that conforms to the bully image.
I trust the folks at Indian/Polaris won't have to deal with this extortion.

Fux News has been pounding the H-D/DEI story into the ground, just one example;

Harley-Davidson is next to cave to the anti-DEI bigots' extortion.

Elon Musk and other DEI critics are latching on to ‘MEI,’ a new hiring catchphrase that experts say misses the point

I read it. Here's the Cliff Notes. There's no conflict between DEI and merit. DEI says you should hire on merit. DEI just notes that unless you make some targeted effort, you don't. Without DEI, "people go back to hiring people who look like them." And they will be completely sure they are just hiring the best.
