Robert E. Lee statue removed from Capitol
A Virginia commission has recommended that a statue of civil rights leader Barbara Johns replace that of the Confederate general.

Lee wasn't a traitor though. He resigned his US Army commision. During the Civil War he remained a Commonwealth of Virginia citizen and as such became a CSA citizen.
