Trump’s role in paying hush money to a porn star during his 2016 presidential campaign, laying the groundwork for potential criminal charges against the former president in the coming months, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

No shit. Trump's co-conspirator in this crime, Michael Cohen, has already served his jail time and has been released. He was also sent to solitary confinement for 16 days by Bill Barr as a vendetta when he found out that Cohen was writing a book about his crime.
