Again, we do not have all the facts but it doesn't actually matter. If you force an officer back into his car, you're getting shot regardless of what may have occurred, before.

Why? I have no input into the laws made. Most of the laws on the books were made by people before I was born and they do not represent me one bit. We can get more esoteric if you so desire but I -- certainly -- see where a percentage (at least) of your support for the enraged minority in this case stems from.

If you desire to dismiss the law as any sort of credo for your life? Feel free but it comes with consequences. (FYI: you'll wind up being shot.)

I wonder how many stores will want to serve this community now. Gonna be even harder to find healthy food, they'll be forced to subsist on grape soda and flaming hot Cheetos, IF the QuickTrip decides to open back up at some point.

And anyone still living there who has a job and a family they care about will be heading for the suburbs. It won't be white flight this time, lots of black middle class in that area who won't want to live in the chaos.

Zeke, I'm not going to go out of my way to antagonize a cop.

I'll tell ya what though after being strictly law abiding my entire life I've had it with all things government. They take a huge chunk of my salary amounting to 30 - 40K a year, they give me nothing in return, they bring me NOTHING but grief, and they all act like they are entitled to lord over me like I'm their redheaded stepson.

Fuck the government and anyone associated with it.

If what you say is true (hardly a guarantee), a person doing their job was attacked by an entitled youth who believes the law doesn't apply to him: likely enraged by a lineage of generational guilt, trauma and anger dating to decades before he was born.

That's not the fault of the law or anyone empowered to enforce it.

What I see is an 18 year old kid summarily executed for the crime of obstructing traffic and showing a cop some attitude.

And I see a cop that starts a fight rather than show a little discretion. We don't need cops out on the street that are looking to start shit over nothing.

I know, you don't do shit when my bike gets stolen. I get that. I'm OK with that. You need to be out hunting murderers and rapists and other really bad people. But not out harassing kids that are loitering in the street.
