Ditto with a Craftsman Pro series worm drive. Worm drive saws are unforgiving torque masters. They are a bit heavy though.

The Mag 77 solves the weight problem with a magnesium alloy housing and an aluminum sole plate.

Wow, I wonder if you can get woodshop college credit for participating in this thread. Or in my case credit towards a GED. Nice job Bob.
