I agree with Pete that the black community has shown great restraint and the leaders have been active in preventing any violent outbreaks. This needs to be acknowledged.

Left and right can live and work together.

Thanks!

Every video I've seen of the non violent protests around the country shows a distinct multi-ethnicity to them. Most folk, black, white, green or blue still adhere to the teachings of Gandhi and Rev. ML King. I'm encouraged by the non-violent actions by all.

No Justice, No Peace! isn't a call for violence but it is a call to action.

I'm still waiting to see what the DOJ's going to do re: filing a civil rights case against Zimmerman.

Thats good that folks are staying calm across the nation for the most part. Except one place over on the west coast were the news showed our flag being destroyed and windows being busted out. I thought California was all about piece signs?

A burnt flag or a few broken windows, while unfortunate, is hardly in the same class as actual violence to a living human being.

Meh, BFD, IMO. If someone wants to spend their own money on a flag and burn it? It's their right to do so and the Supreme court ruled on it many, years ago. That flag belongs to whomever purchased it and they are free to do what they want with their personal property. Sheesh, this is a stale old argument.

Dude! California has the fifth largest army (or is it economy?) on the planet. I think we should unite with the other contiguous west coast states and form our own country! Cascadia forever! We're damn sick of carrying all those moocher red states, particularly the biggest mooch per capita, Alaska.
I'm a little crazy that way...
