Ukraine with no particular Air Force has stalemated the Russians. With NATO Air Forces committed the Russian air units could not operate. Then NATO air and missile units could take out the Russian air defence units. Then the Russian land forces would be naked to air attack. The whole war changes decisively, in other words. Only fear and other base influences have kept this from happening so far.
As for interference by 'Putin's stooge,' if faced with such defeat Putin would of course demand it. There would doubtless be parts and munitions embargos on NATO, and sanctions even. Actual military intervention against our former NATO allies, however, would I hope be a bridge way too far for our armed forces.
