Sanders is a self proclaimed Democratic So(c)ialist. He hides nothing and that's what I love about him......real honesty. His core beliefs are a little too far for me and I doubt I'd vote for him, but this doesn't mean that everything he says is wrong.

He often speaks truths you can't face.

These days I tend to take positions that are more liberal than I really am.

That's because this country has IMO veered way way way too far to the right and is in dire need of a radical course correction just to bring it to the middle.

Could you expand on this? What among Bernie's core beliefs and policy positions are too extreme for you. It might make for a good discussion and a way to steer the conversation away from the silliness of Cats' and Boris' quips and insults.

I agree.

To be perfectly honest I don't know much in the way of specifics about his core beliefs on the issues. I've just been making assumptions about them based on his reputation.

It's more than hearsay I'm going on.

I've read a lot of his articles and watched a number of his rants before congress on youtube and I like what he has said.

But I do need to learn more.

I have no doubt he's left of me on gun control.

I'm pretty far right on that.

But it has a low priority for me.

My top priority is Health Care and on that I'm a flaming So************************t.

Fuck Obamacare

I want a system like they have in the UK or Canada.

So maybe I'm to the left of Bernie on that.
