Everything in media is about making a buck these days. It's all "entertainment" and ratings-driven. That means everything they do is part of an overall strategy of capturing eyeballs/ears.

Good news doesn't sell.

You can take this as a "yes".

Why so angry, John?
Why so dim, whell? I was quite clear in that post as to why I'm "so angry".

My problem is that I've reached a stage in my life where I don't take being told to 'stick it up my ass' very well at all.

Your problem is you have some fundamental resentments attaching to me, that make you react badly to what you call 'scolding,' even directed at others, let alone yourself.

Probably best we just leave each other alone.

It's never a good idea to tell someone what they think or feel, DQ. You may perceive that what you say is true but all that reveals is what you think or feel.

You are right in that of itself it does not reveal the reasons for what I say. You seem to assume I have no reasonable basis for my observations. Is that so?

Boreas nailed it Mike. You cons have been bitching incessantly that Obama hasn't cleaned up the Bush debacle fast enough, while actively trying to sabotage any progress.
6.5 years is "fast enough", and the "job" is still on-going? What' not clear is that much has been done to "clean up" anything. Rather it seems more likely to have extended / exacerbated the issue.

Here are some more comments/analysis from, as John puts it, assholes:

Job growth on its fastest pace in years....false.

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-me...fastest-pace-/

New business starts, while help fuel economic growth and new jobs, are down....true.

http://www.politifact.com/ohio/state...w-business-st/

Low gas prices are a result of Obama's policies....false. Low energy prices might be stimulative in the long run, though.

http://www.politifact.com/virginia/s...-obama-polici/

Obamacare has resulted in a slowdown in healthcare cost inflation....nope.

http://www.politifact.com/wisconsin/...est-ever-infl/

Obama says we're putting more folks back to work.....not so much.

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-me...k-all-other-a/

We are stuck in a rut. And last I checked, Bush has been gone a while. I think you guys just don't like it when someone comes along and injects a bit of "real" into the discussion.

Too funny.

My only point is to distinguish between a reasonable interpretation of what you've observed and a more or less omniscient declaration of what another thinks.

The words "Your problem is" should, in my opinion, never be used to begin a sentence. It presumes far too much and is usually insulting.

John

Wow. Maybe the correct response would be, 'blow it out of your ass'.

Keep it up, Bob. If you're lucky enough, maybe he'll stop talking to you too.

I regret that you drawn me out as far as you have on this. My comment was to bob, your comment has had the effect to cue him to treat it as an insult, as opposed to a 'frank comment' in the context.

Basically, I've explained as much of my view of this kerfuffle as I intend to.
