Unless it's calling black folks who disagree stupid and/or sellouts.

Disagrees with what?

Anyone who disagrees on the point that racism shouldn't be tolerated is either a racist, a fool or has something to gain from it being tolerated?

I don't see how anyone can possibly see it any other way.

LMAO!

Like I said, ".....something to gain from it.".

Political tool is right. You want racists to vote for your party? Hint at them that it's okay to be a bigot.
(Maybe even have a well educated Black Man tell them so.)

"Southern Strategy" anyone?

It fits the left's narrative so well they'll never put it down.

And, I suspect that Walter Williams guy is either full of shit or stupid. He probably hasn't had to deal with racism as nasty and downright deadly as it can be----when it's tolerated.

It is always different when you are a "have" as opposed to a "have not"....
sort of like women who are against the equal rights amendment or feminism in general. The Phyllis Schafly's of the world are rich already, so problems affecting the poor or minorities based on race, sex, or economic conditions do not impact them.

"Is he competent?"

Really? What a ridiculous query.

When folks ask that I never hear "has he done anything," I hear "why has he done so much that I don't want?"

While I'll never undersand why anyone wouldn't desire Osama dead, economic recovery and wars ended, that someone would question Presidential competency because they didn't like the manner in which this was done?

That's not a competency question.

Before you get all butt-hurt about it, understand my original post. It isn't a ridiculous query at all. I didn't make this a partisan issue and don't really care what Bush, Clinton, Reagan, or any other president has done. I wanted opinions on his competency. If Bush was still in office I could easily be asking the same question about him. My quest is for knowledge and differing views on subjects. Same reason I read and listen to broadcasts and publications from both the left and right. The truth seems to always lie somewhere in the middle and the more information and opinion I glean from other sources, the better my understanding is.

I see what Marc originally said about Obama not knowing anything about any if these things. It seems to be his response to every compromising issue at the moment. I find it just short of pleading the fifth sounding. It makes him sound more guilty by saying he has no knowledge. I don't think competent is maybe the right word.

On the other hand these conflicts like the IRS BS I highly doubt were orchestrated by him. I'm not ruling out members of his party but I really doubt he had knowledge of it.

Or, maybe he really has no knowledge of everything that goes on in the federal government? So what? Pleading ignorance worked for Reagan, why can't it work for Obama? And that's not a partisan jab either. It's a simple point of precedence.
