Even if they actually 'lose faith', they've got no choice. Well they could actually spend their own blood and money.
In stupid wars we started, why in hell should they?
Be careful with China. They're a harsher master than the US.
We perfectly agree John!
Then you are both full of it

No fair being realistic Chas. What would we argue about?

Pete, other than border wars with the USSR and India, who has China attacked in the last 100 years? The world is afraid of the US. That is not a good situation. When the US was the worlds strongest economy, you could afford that. Now as the world biggest debtor, things are different.
Like I said in an earlier thread, Canada is moving aggressively to move away from dependence on the US economy. Other countries will be doing the same.

You might want to ask China's occupied areas about their policies.

That's kinda like asking the Iraqis or the afghans, isn't it?
The big difference is that the world now sees the US as the biggest aggressor nation. Faux news might not want to share it, but the election of Obama did a lot to reassure the world that the US was not just a country of ignorant, racist, war mongering, religious fundamentalist rednecks. And yes, that is how much of the world sees the US now.
Also, much of the world blames the US for the global financial meltdown. Putting the same party, and many of the same behind the the Bush administration back in power will do nothing good.

Which Iraqis? And the civilized Afghanis sure don't want us to leave.
How's the burning monks working out?
If the world see the US as the biggest aggressor nation they may need to come to grips with reality.
I see Obama KEPT the previous treasury guys in (no change?), as did Bush keep Clintons.

I'm sure many will say who cares what the world thinks. When you pissed away your incredible wealth and ended up passing the hat to the world to pay your bills, you give up the luxury of not caring.

Having Paul Ryan one beat away from the Presidency is not a distraction for me....

What hat? I've said it before, as far as I'm concerned our would be allies need to put up or shut up. Obama just says it nicer. And that's enough for a Nobel

That would require Federal action. Determining the date upon which elections for national office are to be held is one of the few things about the election process not left to the individual states.
