You do realize, I suppose, that the GOP braintrust (Talk Radio, Fox, Heritage) are about as hostile toward Ron Paul as they are against virtually any Democrat. Above all, the GOP stands for fealty to the Military/Industrial complex and will fight, tooth and nail, against anyone who would dare take DoD contractors off the gravy train. There's simply no place in today's GOP for someone unwilling to kowtow to Defense contractors.

That's why until Republicans start burning flags the Republican party will continue to rob taxpayers to pay their rich friends. They won't know conervatives are pissed as long as a majority of them watch the Fox Public Relations channel and drink the Ayn Rand Kool-Aid.

Maybe the Ted Nugent brand of Republicans really are too stupid to figure it all out despite being told. If that's the case then I'll just join the winning team and help screw over the blue collars. I'm sick and f*ck tired of getting pissed on by them anyways.

It's their choice.

Personally, I put Ted Nugent in with the jingoistic clowns who currently run (or propagandize for) the party. As a bowhunter, I can relate to his love of that sport, but otherwise, he's a jingoistic clown.

I got your jingo right here, bud.

IMO Ted is impressionable. If the DoD tells Ted that there are WMDs or nukes then he will believe it.

He's a musician and gun rights advocate, not a journalist. Furthermore he is not one of the people scribbling in the Federal law books.

It is easy for the left to disagree with Uncle Teddly's advertising in favor of the problem. But IMO he is actually an innocent victim. I think the Republican plutocrats see Uncle Ted as a useful idiot.

Ever see his hunting show? He's a nut! 'Where have we seen this before? Hehheh..hehhehheh..hehheh...'

Standing on top of his zebra striped Bronco playing the Star Spangled Banner.

I'll tell ya about useful idiots They throw 1/2 the current bunch of politicians in jail in Cleveland, the people elect the other half.

He is a nut, for sure, but so are most bowhunters (like me. I often tell friends that when I go go bowhunting that I'm heading out to the woods, climbing up in a tree, and acting like a nut.

The one thing I actually like about his hunting show is the reverence he shows for his quarry. It's something hard to understand for non-bowhunters). There's something kinda mystical about it, though it is pretty much inexplicable.

About fifteen years ago Tedly pushed the Michigan DNR to allow rifle deer hunting from tree stands. Under the old regs tree stands could only be used with bows and arrows (and maybe muzzle loaders, I dunno).

Anyhow after he got what he wanted he went on the radio and broadcast a message to Michigan rifle hunters. He said if any numbnut with a rifle falls out of a tree and hurts himself then Ted was going to visit him in the hospital and beat his ass. It was pretty funny.

"Asshole" is the word that comes to my mind. I recall a day in the mid to late '70s when my best friend, Smitty had an older brother Paul, who played drums for Teds opening band. At the time, I thought that was ultra cool to know someone who knew the Motor City Madman.

I asked Paul; "You play for Ted Nugent? That's got to be awesome!"

With a cigarette dangling from the corner of his mouth and an eyebrow raised, he turned to me and said; "No it isn't. Nugent's an asshole."

It seems little has changed.
