I wouldn't call it in inefficient mess. I think focusing only on the issues in the US system while ignoring the many benefits, while focusing only on the benefits of systems elsewhere and ignoring their many deficits, doesn't make much sense.

Agreed. Our medical system is a powerhouse and we sure don't want to screw it up!

I still like my notion of enacting a system, where everyone from the POTUS to Otis is treated the same. And eliminate all of that goddamned red tape.

I don't know how any poor bastard can navigate through all of the different plans, price structures, coverages, and bullshit we have now.

In between trying to deal with the medical profession, the insurance companies, AND the government, it makes dealing with the cocksuckers down at the IRS a pleasure.

Perhaps I should go easy on the folks down at the IRS, they're just trying to make a living. What I meant is the cocksuckers who wrote the IRS statutes.

And the last time I looked, they're the same bunch of cocksuckers who wrote PPACA, along with the regulations which both the medical profession and the insurance companies operate under.

You guys need to get a copy of "Winner take all politics" and you will discover that members of both parties are complicit in the reverse Robin Hood steal from the poor and hand to the rich - with maybe a percentage sticking to the fingers on the way through.

The reason the corporations set out to break the unions was because it was the unions who got out the vote. So the corporations organized and started the flood of mis-information. Then you get guys like Donohue at the Cahamber(pot) of Commerce directing a fortune of propoganda at anyone who looks like a friend of the middle class.
