That's pool.

Elections are poker.

Keep the trump card until it's $$$ time.

It would have gone much deeper and lasted longer, IMO. I just don't buy the whole doing nothing is better line. Unless you're wealthy enough to ride it out without ending up living under an overpass.

And where did the money go? The TBTF banks.

GM was peanuts. The working stiff is for sure peanuts. And all of this crapola about saving the working man is nothing but a line of shit.

Where did the money go?

In one way, I can appreciate keeping the whole rotten system afloat, but in another, I can appreciate that I'm taking it up the ass in doing so.

We now live in a society which is no longer concerned with making money, but instead is concerned with protecting their assets whenever the ultimate crash comes.

And this isn't the first time it's happened. But right now, we're pushing the wrong buttons.

Then again, I look at Romney, and can't help but wonder where the difference lies.

But the game is working as it's supposed to. You have a choice between two sumbitches you would have never picked in the first place if you REALLY had a choice.

I just hope the bastards don't clean me out and leave me eating out of a garbage can.

One vote will only get you so far.

I think what gets me, especially on this little forum, is that probably you and I will agree that what the Pukes are offering up isn't much to brag about. But the majority, who happen to be on the left, are incapable of admitting that what the Donks are offering up isn't much to brag about either.

I don't mind an open dialogue, but attitude and talking points wears on my patience. It's not necessary here.

If by the way, if you libs see this as a shot across your bow, your assumption is correct.

And as a case in point, you ran off Sandy G. That takes some doing. Keep it up and all you'll have left is a circle jerk.

Chas
The OP asked a question. We were supposed to say "just because?"

2008 was the first time in my life that I was enthusiastic about casting my presidential ballot. I guess that deviation from the norm makes your point.

BTW, I have tired more than once to let Sandy know how much he is missed here.

Regards,

D-Ray

I cannot argue with your analogy.

Other than trump cards pertain to pinochle, and I don't see Obama with enough wild cards to win this game of seven.

I reckon we'll see, huh?

I've tried too.

I reckon he's just smarter than the rest of us.

Reads more like a shot across your own bow. I'd like to see you stay, but I'm not changing my opinions.......

As far as "talking points" goes......What does that even mean? It's all talking points. How does one make a point without talking? I don't get it.

I thought this angle, at least, might have a little support in here at this late date in Obama's train wreck of a presidency. Is the left really so dense? Obama's been truely pathetic. Most of his initial promises were things I didn't agree with and as issues I'm happy they were simply lies, but I was hoping back in 2008 (a long shot I know) that Obama may actually come in and at least show some leadership. I can respect a strong leader whether I agree with his stand all of the time or not, but Obama's been an abject failure as a leader. I am truely embarrassed for most of you who can still blindly support and defend this pretender who was and is obviously so ill equipped for the demands of office and is clearly in way way over his head. Why he even wants another four years himself is kind of beyond me. I know he's arrogant, but I thought he was just a little dimwitted initially. I've been forced to wonder if he's indeed as anti-American in his true intentions as has been attributed to him.

I'm really hoping America won't be stupid twice and from what I hear in my travels both inside and outside the US Obama might as well pack his bags now. Perhaps people are just scared to appear stupid in conversation with me and won't admit to still supporting Obama. Who knows. I do know that if Obama had any real integrity (of course he does not) he'd have recused himself months ago from running again, if not to help the country (which he doesn't seem to give a shit about) but at least in order to give a better Democrat a shot at office to maybe help the party, the country and the advancement of his supposed ideals.

People are making unbelieveable amounts of money. I'm no Bill Gates, by any means, but even I make money in my sleep, lately. And I know I can't be alone. I'm not the only person who invests. If I'm making money, so are a lot of other people.........

I don't understand all of this........dogmatic negativity? (For lack of a better term.) Why does everthing have to be all doom a gloom, no matter what happens? What is that?

You tell me.

Dave

Because the alternative is what?

Barmitt Obamaney? Santorum?

Romney has integrity?

Oh, please.
