But, sadly, the GOP is stuck in the 1920s and I doubt seriously they would run her. Their base in Burning Cross, Mississippi wouldn't like it.

Blue and Condi, sittin in a tree....

She does look classy for sure.

Bush's cabinet was more racially diverse than Billy Bobs.

We could continue depression era economic policies...

If Kasich pulls this off he'll be running for Pres in the future.

Dude, so far, you are the only person from Ohio I've met who actually likes him. All of my relatives and friends back home think he's an ass. Even my Republican cousin. But, I guess that can change. Are you watching what's happening to Walkers (And other GOP'ers) popularity in Wisconsin?

SOMEBODY likes him - he beat Strickland.

I'm not certain 'like' is the right word. He really comes across oddly, full of energy, but kinda cocky or bossy or something. What happens right now doesn't really matter, it's how the effects work out that'll win or lose him a second term. I suspect that'll be true in WI too.

Yeah, we'll see. Somehow I don't see screwing with the folks who hold class with the kids everyday as being a wise move. Like Christa McCaulliffe said, "I touch the future, I teach."

Precisely. Like a dictator, attacking scapegoats and stripping away democratic institutions.

The public mood seems ugly. We've got a tax levy coming up in my district. Even if it passes they're talking layoffs. I suspect it'll pass by the skin of it's teeth (it's the 3rd try), but we'll see.

How would YOU balance a budget 8 billion in the hole?

Besides, Obama is a bit like that too

raise taxes retroactively on those who enjoyed the breaks

they still come out ahead as they now have all the cash from the investments they made

these people win no matter what, no?

yeah, I know the little guy was trickled on with the tax cuts
