Any way you look at it war is bad unless you happen to be a wealthy oligarch living a comfy life far from any actual battles. Or someone supplying bombs, bullets and oil to the US military.

It is embarrassing that Tucker is the lone voice asking serious questions regarding the drum beat to war.
To be fair, he did same when Trump was president.

Considering your admiration of Putin and all things Russian, your fealty to a lying sack of shit and Putin mouthpiece Carlson is not a bit surprising.

Maybe his grandparents are Russian, or something.
You think the Zionists are the cat's meow. Okay fine.
Me, I'm all about Jesus.
Could be time for a group hug.

No relation to Russia. I am just intrigued by the simple story of the presidential installation of a person who was supposed to be a yes man ...but lo and behold turned the tables.
He forced the oligarchs to pay taxes. Force out those with connections to the world bank/IMF.
Sent the IMF packing since it was organizing to execute the usual play...massive devaluation resulting in the heights of the economy falling into the hands of foreigners with foreign capital.
Subdued Muslim insurrection which was supported by outsiders with an eye to Balkanization.
Ultimately saving the country economically from the wretched nineties.
Vlad despite inheriting an oligarch system and despite the huge sanctions has shown himself to be a very competent bureaucrat. Russia has one of the lowest debt/GDP and is largely self-sufficient.
There is a comprehensive effort to use Russia as a cover for failure in whatever sphere or as a cover for shenanigans.
Vlad incurred the wrath of very powerful factions in the west when he sent to prison its darling - M. Khordokovsky and when finding himself between a rock and a hard place went for Trump.

When Tucker stops lying it's a bad sign.
He's telling the truth right now. Putin is going for it.
Conventional war is not a thing of the past; this is going to be quite a skirmish.
It won't escalate into a world war.

I do not think he is going for it. He is indicating some of what he has and will employ if
1) There is an attempt to cleanse the Donbas of ethnic Russians.
2)Game changing weapons are installed in Ukraine.
3)Ukraine joins Nato.

1) There is no attempt to cleanse the Donbas of ethnic Russians. They represent 40% of Donbas' population and Russian is the primary language of 75% in the Donbas.
2) So, Russia is free to stage game-changing weapons all around Ukraine's borders (and in Belarus), yet Ukraine, a sovereign country must adhere to Moscow's demands as to how it defends itself against Russian aggression?
3) Ukraine is a long way from joining NATO. Indeed NATO won't even consider their membership as long as Russia has troops stationed on Ukrainian soil (as they currently do). That said, Ukraine, a sovereign nation, is free to ask to join NATO (who alone sets its membership requirements). Meanwhile, Russia's aggression may well lead to Finland and Sweden joining NATO.
What scares Putin the most is having ethnically similar folks on his border demonstrating how democracy can improve human rights and economic well-being. This is highly threatening to an autocratic kleptocracy like Russia.

Putin is using his tactical and strategic advantages in the Russian Empire's best interest. Thing is, NATO is still fighting the Cold War against the USSR.

NATO isn't "fighting" anywhere (now that we're out of Afghanistan), whereas Putin and his stooges are fighting in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Mali, Syria, Belarus, and Georgia along with cyberattacks in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia (and the United States) and political assassinations in the UK and Germany.
Try to keep up, Comrade.

I do believe NATO is still re-fueling the Saudi planes that bomb Yemen. And supplying weapons all over the world.
Most likely 1,000 things the public is not allowed to know about. A 3 trillion dollar annual black budget goes a long way.
