on the Jolida
hooked up to today's $10 KEF Speaker Score.

I am retiring my Maggie Single Ended Pentode....just does not sound as good as the Jolida or the Adcom or my "frankenstein still has not blown up" Maggie 6V6. I think there is something off about the sound of the 197 just cannot get a good vibe from it. To me it sounds too reedy...sort of harsh. The different rectifier tube I tried made it sound more harsh.

After about 5 years I am coming to the conclusion that NAD, Adcom, and Vector Research are the best sound for the buck. Of course I still have to buy a Mcintosh someday.

Yes ,the classic Jazz set the standard for modern contemporary jazz,Classic is by far my favorite though.
