Asked to compare Biden to a family member, most offered avuncular images of a goofy uncle or doddering, forgetful grandfather.

“The slightly wacky, slightly uncool uncle, who nevertheless, you can call him at midnight if your car is broken down, and he'll come get you,” said Natalie, a gig worker from Iowa who plans to vote for Biden.


Asked to describe Trump as a family member, the responses were somewhat darker.

“An abusive uncle,” one male participant said.

“The cousin we don’t talk about,” said one participant in the women’s group.

“He's the uncle who corners you at the family reunion," another said. "And then he starts trying to convert you to something."

"Or grope you," chimed in a third.

With Joe Biden’s lead widening in the polls and President Donald Trump’s campaign sidelined by the virus, investment strategists now say there’s less of a chance for a contested election.

A clear-cut Democrat victory could avoid a long and messy legal battle and provide certainty to markets that have been nervous about election risks, according to strategists from Citigroup Inc. to JPMorgan Chase & Co.

The S&P 500 was up about 1% as of 9:32 a.m. in New York, havens including bonds are seeing little demand and the greenback is down.

“Polls are shifting from a close election and prolonged uncertainty to more a dominant Biden and clean succession,” said Peter Rosenstreich, head of market strategy at Swissquote Bank SA. “That is reducing uncertainty and increasing risk appetite.”

You know it's over when Wall Street comes around to supporting Biden.

I wonder do those odds makers take into consideration the tRump/Republican efforts underway to usurp the election? No matter how much the odds are in Biden's favor I don't see them as just giving up.

Following the first debate of the 2020 election, Joe Biden has taken his largest lead of the Presidential race in Michigan, leading Donald Trump 48.0%- 39.2% -- a lead of 8.8%. Trump has lost three points of support since the September post-convention survey.

There has been a major shift among voters over the age of 65 towards Joe Biden. Older voters now support Biden over Trump by a margin of 59.1%-29.2% -- a nearly 30-point lead for Joe Biden. Biden led senior voters by 7.5% in the Post-Convention survey. Senior voters have shifted by 22 points since early September.

We seniors vote at VERY high rates. Donny and the Repubes would destroy SS and Medicare. Any senior voting Repube is a damn fool.
