Ron Johnson Says He ‘Condones’ White Supremacy

...in an On-Air Slip Paging Dr. Freud...

Quote:
So no, Johnson does not condone white supremacy, he just wants Black Lives Matter protestors investigated instead of the Proud Boys.

'Denied': Judge smacks down Alan Dershowitz's demand that the FBI return Mike Lindell's phone

https://www.alternet.org/2022/09/jud...an-dershowitz/

Time for Dershowitz to hang up the shingle. He’s become a complete hack since he started backing these far-Reich wingnuts. Sad.

In a similar vein, the Supreme Court of the United States rejected without comment Candace Owens‘ petition over fact-checks that labeled her COVID-19 posts on Facebook a “hoax” and “false.”

The conservative commentator had claimed that fact-checkers Lead Stories and USA Today’s determinations about her posts amounted to tortious interference, as Facebook is her “primary marketplace” and Owens’ income was “severely damag[ed]” as a result. When the Delaware courts were not persuaded, Owens in May asked the Supreme Court to step in.

These grifters don't seem to grasp that others are not obligated to support or excuse their grift.

I am surprised at the ease with which these people are able to appeal to the Supreme Court, or is this an automatic since the court decides what cases to take, the remaining cases are kicked down to the lower courts?

These are just decisions not to hear cases. That much is quick and easy. Whatever the last court ruled is what goes.

This explains to me why the case went to the Supreme court.

Quote:
Key Facts

Dominion sued MyPillow and Lindell in February 2021 over spreading false election fraud claims involving the company’s machines—arguing he “sells the lie” because the “lie sells pillows”—and a federal judge denied Lindell’s motion to dismiss the case in August 2021.

Lindell then asked an appeals court to hear his motion to dismiss the case, but it refused to take it up on procedural grounds, sending him to the Supreme Court.

The MyPillow CEO asked the Supreme Court to consider whether he had the right to appeal the motion to dismiss, saying the inability to appeal the order “condemns” him to a “monumentally exhausting and devastatingly costly judicial process” as the district court has to fully consider the case first.

The Supreme Court did not offer any comment on why it didn’t take up the case or if any justices were in favor of hearing it, but noted Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson did not participate in the decision.

Lindell’s attorney has not yet responded to a request for comment.
More of a curiosity than anything else as to how the judicial system works in the Federal cases. Now I guess his next move will be to delay and delay, or perhaps offer to settle, but for how much?

I hope Dominion doesn't settle out of court. The pillow guy would just say they settled because they couldn't win in court. I hope Dominion and Smartmatic get every cent they're suing for.
