Let's be clear. Darren Wilson swears the following is what he "thought [to himself]" while, he says, Brown was punching him and stuff through the car window. The following is what you say is not absurd. Feel free to scan the two images I've pulled from the online pdf of the grand jury testimony. Then I will have one question.
Now here is the question: how long do you think it would take a person to think all that to himself?
I think it's absurd to think this account is anything but a lawyer-written exculpatory narrative crafted for use as testimony, containing sequence, logic, and detail nothing like what Wilson 'thought to himself' at the time. Wilson's willingness to recount such a narrative raises, in my mind, grave doubts as to his intention to be accurate and truthful in his testimony.

Police are trained to recount details in this manner. One of the many maxims of police training is to write police reports from the perspective of a defense attorney. So in Wilson, we find an officer who is acting in accordance with his training, and know-nothings like you want to suggest that's a reason to suspect the accuracy of his testimony.
Sheesh!

Actually, a normal person would state that he was fighting Brown off with his left arm, trying to block entry, and the most effective and most readily available defensive weapon on his belt right side was his Sig, which he attempted to unholster with his free right hand.
Yet again, at the trial this would be a great walkthrough. Wilson could get in the Tahoe, and another 6'4", 290 person with a build similar to Brown could approach, and reenact the encounter, step by step. Jurors could see in real life whether Wilson's story was truthful or based on physical evidence, or just a story.
My officer friends always question at this point why Wilson, who was outnumbered, placed himself at a disadvantage by pulling the SUV to intersect the two, and then did not leave the vehicle in drive or reverse as he has been trained, before he engaged them verbally. Here he violated three/four training points...-keep the encounter visible, maintain a safe distance for assessment, and maintain your ability to retreat(keep the car in a driving gear.) And if you are outnumbered, get backup and then proceed.

Yeah, sorry. The continuing efforts by some to make this incident into something it isn't, probably just because a cop is involved and/or the supposed racial element, is getting tiring.

Doesn't matter what you, or I or anybody else thinks about this Zeke. In the end, Brown's family will drag Darren Wilson and the Ferguson PD in to civil court and walk away with a big payday. And anybody so inclined will have a legal basis to call it a bad shoot.

No shit.
The curb weight of a Tahoe is well over 5,000 lbs.

When you are behind the wheel of a Land Yacht like that you have a tremendous advantage over a 290 lbs dude on foot.
I keep a gun in my car, but if some Dude tries to get in my face through the window, I'm not going to reach for it. All I'm going to do is hit the gas.

I certainly hope so.
But there are probably limits to how much you can sue a government entity.

So the people of Ferguson have to pay three times. Two riots and a lawsuit.
